Airwalk launched their documentary campaign of “Already Famous” in New York City. Fittingly, the film focuses on the culture in urban skate communities and the event’s proceeds will go to benefit the Harold Hunter Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports inner-city kids who skateboard.
The foundation provides skateboarding as a vehicle to help nurture individual creativity and the development of life skills to keep kids off the streets. They also provide scholarships to Camp Woodward, local clinics and even find jobs in the skateboard industry for former camp scholarship recipients.
The event was held in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, where a custom built skate ramp was converted into a stage for performances by MellowHype, Hodgy Beats and Left Brain from Odd Future.
