The rad ones over at Etnies have done good.

In a constant effort to have fun while promoting a positive impact on our mother earth, they’ve taken some of their pro surfers and skaters down South to Costa Rica to do some philanthropy… with the odd party and shred sessions sprinkled in.

The surfers were Benjamin Weatherly, Chris Del Moro (not to be confused with my slave-driver/boss, Chris Mauro) and Cj Kanuha. They did manage to get some fun waves in between hole-digging and tribal dancing.

The skate-barbarians were Ryan Sheckler and Kyle Leeper. Not much smooth concrete on offer in the remote jungle, but the boys got creative.

Etnies’ BUY A SHOE PLANT A TREE program is pretty self explanatory, but its cool to see famous athletes rolling up their sleeves and stoking out some people that probably don’t have the same opportunities we do. Plus it seems like a great way to counteract some of the guilt associated with all the unspeakably terrible and awful things you do every day. You know what im talking about. Yes that.
