Two heavy hitters in apparel have come together to create a collection of high performance denim built specifically for skateboarding. In July 2012, Nike SB and Levi’s will unleash the limited release 511 Collection. The collaboration will combine Nike’s DRI-FIT and vectran technologies along with Levi’s ageless design and craftsmanship.
The 511 skateboarding jean is slim-fitting with spandex, for that bit of stretch and will come in two styles and several colors and washes. The collection will also include a denim trucker jacket and two types of Nike SB kicks, the Dunk Low Pro and the Omar Salazar LR.
The prices range from $80 and up and $198 for the jeans, which might be tough for the average skateboarder to afford. Nevertheless, the concept is pretty brilliant.
