Part four of photographer Johnny Mehring’s Trans-Siberian journey released

Skateboarder magazine’s Johnny Mehring has made a name for himself in skate photography world for his off-the-beaten-path journeys into far-flung locales. The mag has recently taken his batches of photos from the trips, of which many have never been seen, and arranged them into chapters for your viewing pleasure.

In the last couple weeks they have been releasing images from a 2008 trip he did though Siberia via railroad. Joining him for the mission were Jack Sabback, Kenny Reed, Keegan Sauder, and the late Van Wastell.

In this chapter, the fourth of eight, the crew rolls into the town of Irkutsk, home to Lake Baikal, the deepest lake on earth. Click here for the entire batch of photos and captions by Mehring.
