Skateboarder magazine raids New York

Skateboarder magazine headed to New York last week for the Red Bull Manny Mania World Finals and Pro Contest–and they brought a killer gallery back with them.

Skateboarder photographer Aaron Smith captured the crew rolling through the city’s streets, weaving in and out of taxis, buses, and cars. “I’ve been to New York a handful of times before, but I was never was able to skate through the city like we did this time,” Smith wrote. “It was one of the best times I’ve had on my skateboard.”

The crew also hit up a Converse contest being held in Chelsea, where Smith got some epic shots of amateurs and pros throwing down some impressive tricks.

But the standout photo of the lot was definitely Smith’s shot of the Hudson River, with the sunlight shimmering off the water and marking another good day in the concrete jungle.
