Stacey Peralta, professional skateboarder, original Z-Boy, surfer, entrepreneur, filmmaker, producer, his resume can go
on and on, but I won’t.
Getting to the point, Peralta is bringing the Bones Brigade back to the Sundance Film Festival, the sought after, coveted and premier showcase for independent films and filmmakers that are held each January in Park City, Utah.
The Film is titled “Bones Brigade: An Autobiography”, and although this is not his first trip to Sundance, he is still pumped nonetheless.
Quoted in an interview with Colin Bane from ESPN.com/Action Peralta shows his excitement and we concur because- It’s always good to see “the boys” back together.
“Even though this is my fourth time, it’s just as exciting as my first time. Sundance is important to me because I’m not a big fish. I’m a small fish in the world of filmmaking and it’s really, really difficult to get attention for independent films and documentary films. When you get accepted into Sundance knowing that 10,000 other films from all over the world were trying to get into this festival at the same time, and yours got selected, it gives a certain cachet and importance to your film. It gives your film a blessing, in a sense. Instantly, here’s all this attention on your little film and it gives you a chance.”
So Watch out for this one kids, It will be everything and more and most definitely educational, tell your friends and the rents.
If you are going to be in the Salt Lake area January 19-29th and get tix to the exclusive event…
