The Nike Snowboarding Project is an ongoing film project headed by Nike in which three snowboard filmmakers are making “a short video featuring one unique segment of riding,” according to Nike. Nike recently released a behind-the-scenes look of the first chapter, which you can view by clicking play below. They filmed it in January in Sapporo, Japan, which meant the riders kept getting kicked out of streets where they were attempting to ride. “It’s rough because they’re so respectful there, so it’s like everything you try to snowboard on, it’s disrespecting them in a way,” said snowboarder Johnnie Paxson, who would have been arrested if he were small enough to fit in a Japanese cop car.
