Day Two Of Grenade Games 6: Search and Recovery Mission

Day two of the Grenade Games 6 in Whistler, BC, was when everyone actually got on some snow and kicked off the competition. With the remnants of a collective hangover, some snow sliding was just what the doctor ordered to get these guys back on track.

The first competition was the Search and Recovery Mission aka a snowboarding scavenger hunt…except they aren’t hunting anything but victory. The mission for the riders on Wednesday was to work their way from peak to peak, with four stops where they had to complete a task at each.

With a heavy fog chilling out over the two peaks, this Search and Recovery Mission turned out to be no walk in the mini-park. The four tasks consisted of: the Race Center (a qualifier for the Dual Slalom Moguls), the GT Snow Race (snow skate gap jump), the Ollie Over Uranus (an ollie contest over a flat bar), and the Meat Spin (short slopestyle course).

How did Danny Kass feel about some of these tasks, you ask? Danny dropped the bomb that “This is the last time we’re racing at Grenade Games.” Guess they can’t hang with the downhillers.
