If you’re going on an adventure trip in a remote region, why not stay a few more weeks than you originally planned and help out the local community? After all, you’re already there. That’s what the FullCircle Project is doing in the Andes, where the team of skiers led by pro Matt Philippi is traveling around, skiing, and giving back in the process. To document their philanthropic adventure quest, the team is releases three webisodes, the first of which is below. In it, the crew funds and helps the community of Amaru, Peru, build a recycling center to replace the open trash pit they had been using. In the process, the crew learns about the community’s ancient culture, which is descended from the Incas and helps to protect 1,800 species of potatoes. Click play below to watch the episode.
