Skiers and snowboarders have all sorts of things to watch out for on the slopes, notably other skiers and snowboarders, and of course trees and rocks. Moose, generally, are not a problem. But at least one skier will not soon forget the recent day when a large moose emerged from the woods and chased him across the base of a slope at Vermont’s Sugarbush Resort. Of course, someone was able to capture the amusing spectacle on videotape.

That person was Bill Applegate, who wrote in the description portion beneath the footage: “The person being chased is an adult, not a child. He is approx 6 feet tall so that’s one big damn Moose!!!”

Fortunately, the moose gave up the chase rather quickly and wandered up part of the slope before slipping back into the woods. Presumably, tree skiers were on high alert the rest of the day.
