New documentary features snowboarding in…Africa?

Here’s something you don’t see often: A snowboarding video that features lions, giraffes, and hippos in the wild. Sound a bit strange? Yes, until you learn that the video originated from Africa. Then again, snowboarding in Africa? Who knew?

A short travel documentary called “Africa Bamboardin!: A Snowboard Journey to the Land of Lions” gives a pretty good overview of what snowboarding and skiing are like at a ski resort called AFRiSKi in Lesotho, a small kingdom surrounded by its only neighbor, the country of South Africa. The video was posted by Snowboarder magazine.
