In 2007, pro skiers Eric Pollard, Andy Mahre, Pep Fujas, and Chris Benchetler set out to bring a different perspective to ski movies–they wanted to share their worldly adventures with the masses through an easily digestible web format.
Collectively, they created Nimbus Independent and became the first ski brand to release webisodes. Fast-forward five years and Nimbus is still leading the charge with their highly acclaimed film productions and web series.
The trailer for En Route, a three-webisode series, just dropped, so we hit up with Chris Benchetler for the inside scoop on what to expect this season.
We asked Chris to say anything, a la Mad Libs, so check out his responses in bold.
My roll with Nimbus is to help create a different vision in skiing, ski with my close friends, and help make videos that people truly enjoy and can relate to.
The Nimbus 2012 Trailer is super enjoyable to watch because Eric Pollard knows how to create a dynamic edit.
A part in the 2012 trailer that makes me go damn I wish I was back there right now, is the entire trailer!!
Eric does the best butter in the trailer because he always brings a good butter knife.
If I had to pick a favorite episode from this season, it would be En Route BC because we had a super good time, skied some deep pow, and I really like the soundtrack.
Right now I’m in Chile and it’s super hard to find good Internet to answer these questions.
I hope you have the time to enjoy some free edits this fall. We pour a lot of heart and soul into them, and I want you to enjoy watching them as much as we enjoy making them.
