How did legendary snowboarder Shaun White prepare for the snowboard slopestyle finals Saturday at the Winter X Games? He showed the world by tweeting this photo Friday:

Wait a minute. Shaun White takes his bulldog with him to the Winter X Games? Uh, why yes, he does. That’s his dog Steve. Hmmm.
Seems White needed to give his 26-year-old body an ice bath before the finals of slopestyle Saturday, after superpipe and slopestyle eliminations on Thursday, and practice Friday.
“Back-to-back competitions are grueling…Steve gets it,” he tweeted.
Well, it didn’t help. White uncharacteristically fell on his second run in slopestyle, completely botched his third run and finished fifth.
Mark McMorris, having already clinched his second consecutive gold medal in Winter X slopestyle, scored an X Games slopestyle record 98 points on his third and final run, a victory lap he didn’t even need, to outshine White.
White still has his most successful event–the snowboard superpipe–left on Sunday. After falling twice on Saturday, though, he may need an even colder ice bath to ensure his body recovers. We think Steve would agree.
