Technine takes over Windells Session 6

Summer may be coming to a close, but there was no shortage of good times and fun at Mount Hood during Session 6 of camp.

Chase Weaver and the Windells Diggers set up a quality park, enhancing the top section with a new rail area and a bunch of tube/wallride options. Warm weather on campus meant lots of water balloon fights and, of course, tons of skateboarding in the Concrete Jungle. The big news of the session: giant freeze pops arrived in SAIGL, the snack shack, and campers rejoiced.

The Technine Team took over Session 6 at snowboard camp. Dylan Thompson, Lucas Magoon, Nick Poohachoff, Brady Larsen, Luke Haddock, and Ben Bilodeau hit the park to put the T9 stamp on Windells for the week. The Technine crew is a hardworking bunch–they hiked rails until the last possible second each day, then headed to camp to skate and hang out with campers each evening.

A summer camp tradition, the Third Annual Technine Doughnut Eating Contest went down during the session. Just like in past years, as the winners stuffed the last few mini-doughnuts into their mouths, powdered sugar went flying, coating all bystanders and the Windells campus in a layer of sweet precipitation. Magoon joined in the challenge this year, and while he can put back some doughnuts, he was no match for the campers, who seemed to be as hungry for the dessert as they were for Technine prizes.

Session 7 is next and the Flow Snowboarding Team has the summer ender! Nial Romanek, Brandon Reis, Tim Humphreys, Sarka Pancochova, Celia Miller, the Flow Ams, and the Microns are taking over camp, and it’s bound to be an epic week.
