Legendary snowboarder Shaun White made history in the snowboard superpipe at last year’s Winter X Games, producing the first perfect score of 100 in winning his fifth consecutive gold medal in the event. The 2013 X Games Aspen starts Thursday, and while we assume Shaun White will be ready, we know the superpipe course will be. Shot by AspenSnowmass from the base of Buttermilk, here’s an impressive time-lapse video of the superpipe being built in 1 1/2 minutes:

“What’s it take to build the biggest and baddest X Games course ever? A lot of work!” the description on the YouTube post says. And by the looks of the video, they aren’t kidding.

Incidentally, the superpipe final is Sunday night.
