Last May, pro snowboarder Danny Davis teamed up with Mountain Dew and Burton to build a one-of-a-kind hybrid pipe that featured numerous terrain park elements. Davis spent weeks conceptualizing his “dream pipe,” and his ideas came to fruition at Northstar Resort in Tahoe, California, thanks to the Snow Park Technologies crew. The creative pipe featured a channel gap, a wall ride, a volcano, several C-shaped boxes, and a plethora of rails all built into the pipe.
Davis wanted others to get in on the action, so he opened the pipe to nine of his closest snowboarding buddies, including Jack Mitrani, Kevin Pearce, Terje Haakonsen, Mikkel Bang, Mark McMorris, Christian Haller, Pat Moore, and Austen Sweetin. Recently, the crew spent a spring day shredding and grilling–and they filmed all the fun. The edit from the day was just released, and it’s chock full of feel-good snowboarding by Davis and his friends.
