The hunt and discovery of uncharted territory in the world of snowboarding is one of the strongest forces driving the sport. It’s that hunger that keeps many riders constantly thirsting for more. Snowboarding in foreign countries and their dangerous terrain has continuously been a high point for riders. Lightbox Pictures has pushed this trend even further with their new project White Silk Road, a film that documents Australian riders Clint Allan, Mitch Allan and Nick Gregory making the long journey to the untouched peaks of Afghanistan to pioneer snowboarding in a land stricken by decades of war.
White Silk Road looks to bring forth a unique look at the culture and amazing landscapes that make up one of the most dangerous parts of the world. Set to release July 2012. Get a closer look at the trailer below.
