Andino and Crew in Tahiti

Three of Red Bull’s sparkliest young stars recently visited the wave at the end of the road, Tahiti’s Teahupoo. Kolohe Andino lead the pack as the only one to make the World Tour, while Evan Geiselman and Cristobol de Col are well on their way to doing the same.

Since returning from this trip, both Andino and Geiselman are on the disabled list, with air-induced ankle injuries. Evan broke his ankle in Costa Rica doing a frontside air, while, as Kolohe put it on Twitter, “I got all frothed out on Dane’s new sego. Tried a backhand full rotation. Landed in the flats. Now I have a high ankle sprain and tore some ligament in my foot.”

Both surfers are expected to be on the mend, and Kolohe should be ready in time for the WT event at Teahupoo in August.
