With another ASP World Tour event in the books, Surfer magazine has released another photo gallery of all the action. The photo below, which Surfer photo editor Grant Ellis shot, is of 11-time world champ Kelly Slater at the Coldwater Classic in Santa Cruz, California. “Had Slater landed this massive air in his Round 5 heat against Adriano de Souza, he would have easily collected a 10 and advanced to the quarterfinals,” Surfer wrote. Nevertheless, Slater, along with Aussies Joel Parkinson and Mick Fanning, is still in contention for the overall world title, which will be decided at Pipeline in Hawaii in December.
