Last week we featured photo and video evidence of Alex Gray’s apparent Mexican obsession, and days later we get even more proof of his ex-pat status. This new clip from Puerto Escondido is from the same session that Todd Glaser documented in this recent gallery, which showcased what some touted as the “day of the year” so far in Mexico. In the video’s final moments you can see Greg Long on the red board, nabbing the wave of the day–he only caught two waves in a four-hour session, which started before dawn. Rusty, Greg’s brother, dislocated his shoulder during the same session while free-falling into a beast.

As you could have guessed, Alex already has plans to return to Mexico later this week as a series of southern hemi swells are stacking up in the South Pacific.
