As we approached Friday, July 13, internet murmurs began to circulate of a raid at Lower Trestles. Last June a group of creative San Clemente youngsters organized a flash-mob-esque raid on the state’s most coveted and crowded lineup. With this summer’s crowds in full swing, the lads once again took matters (and soft tops) into their own hands.
Thanks to Hurricane Emilia’s favorable trajectory off Cabo earlier in the week, a solid head high southeast swell was scheduled to arrive at Lower Trestles the same day.
