With summer crowds beginning to flood the lineups and beaches of Southern California, tensions in the water can be running quite high at this time of year. Luckily there are those individuals who emerge at these moments, willing to take drastic measures. Willing to rise up and fight for what’s theirs. Willing to band together and take back what has been lost. Those people are pirates, usually.

San Clemente’s Riley Metcalf recently organized such a motley crew of pirates, and planned a hostile takeover of lower trestles.

Watch as these brave souls take on the fierce lineup at Lowers, taking no prisoners whilst running over everyone on softboards.

For the record I’d like to see more rogue groups of pirates do these takeovers. This video is genius.
