Kolohe Andino entered last week’s Quiksilver Pro Snapper as one of the most hyped rookies of all time. And surf fans got to watch how he responded to the pressure of being on tour with the world’s elite.
While he was knocked out in Round 3, the litmus test was a success for Andino, who surfed very well in all of his heats, barely losing to eventual runner up Adriano De Souza in a heat that could have gone either way. The question now isn’t can he beat these guys, but will he beat them? Placing 13th isn’t enough to stay afloat, especially with the roster of talent on this year’s tour.
Here is Kolohe’s video-diary of the event.
