To say that our good amigos over at Surfer and Surfing magazines get some good photos would be a gross understatement. These gents and their roving teams of lensmen scour the globe for the most beautiful and intriguing aquatic imagery for 12 months out of every year, and they’ve recently published the tastiest fruits of their labor.

For Surfer, their photographic gems–all obtained from galleries published in 2012–come from names such as Chris Burkard, Grant Ellis, Zak Noyle, and Ray Collins. Grant Ellis captured the above shot in Ireland. For Surfing, Jimmy Wilson, Tom Carey, Pete Taras, Steve Sherman, DJ Struntz, and Corey Wilson, among others, provide the chosen ones.
