Video: Tasmania’s many faces

Tasmania is home to more than just ill tempered, carnivorous marsupials. It also happens to hold a couple dark and scary waves, including one of the world’s scariest slabs: Shipstern’s Bluff. In this clip from filmmaker Dave Otto we see a few of Tassie’s many faces: pretty, placid, playful, and then deadly. Otto also gives us some new angles of the psycho stair-stepping monster, a hard wave to capture given its precarious location off a remote and jagged outcropping surrounded by treacherous waters. Believe it or not, nobody died in this clip.
