To help your favorite athlete and ARF all you have to do is watch!"ARFis a non-profit corporation that supports action sports athletes in times of financial need due to injury. With the impossibility of health insurance and high costs of medical for these athletes, somebody needed to step up and create a more global way of helping these athletes through the most difficult times in their careers. BallPark(yes, the hotdog company) is willing to donate up to $100,000 to ARF in accordance to views on the video below. See, each view earns a dollar towards the fund. So essentially we all need to watch this video and make sure it gets to 100,000 views (the max) and make sure every dollar gets to the athletes that make us laugh, cringe, and drop our jaws... So, short and sweet, watch the video, support the fund, and don't let BallPark donate one dollar less than a hundred thousand because they set that limit for a reason!!! (disclaimer: it only counts if you watch it beginning to end so at least let it run through if you don't want to watch it all... here is some more info from TWbizHERE)" Nike 6.0 HB BMX Pro = In the books.Wow. I initially thought this was to be a big event with the guest list exploding with top names, from Guettler to Dhers to Cranmer to newcomer Andy Buckworth. I didn't think it would go as far as it did, however. I'm not going to beat around the bush... Ryan Guettler won the damn thing. I'm being so forward because I feel a Guettler comeback was sort of in the makings and it has all been leading up to this day. It was easy to see him progressing more and more and with a double backflip and a huge bag of bangers for this event, he was hands down FOR THE WIN. Daniel Dhers no doubt took second place. He deserves as much credit as possible for also unveiling new tricks (the CASH ROLL) in the midst of an already insane bag of bangers in this event. Following him closely behind is young gun Andy Buckworth. Andy has apparently been spending too much time with fellow rider Harry Main because he is KILLING IT and pretty much sitting where everybody expected Main to be before he broke his leg. And behind the above mentioned dudes are riders such as Mike Spinner with his 1080s and too many whips, Scotty Cranmer on his comeback path of whips and flips, Garrett Reynolds holding it down for the more street-oriented riders with barspins and unique lines, and Allan Cooke, Craig Mast, Marcus Tooker, and Diogo Canina. Props to Nike for putting on a very memorable event and all the riders for making it so... We have videos on the site so check them out for highlights and of course the brand new, Daniel Dhers' trick, CASH ROLL... Channels: Bike Nike 6.0 HB BMX Pro [DAY ONE]Vital BMX and Ride BMX both have coverage of the first day of the Nike 6.0 HB BMX Pro... click the names for their articles. Daniel Dhers is said to have dominated the first day. This is no surprise as his park riding prowess is always revealed at these big contests and he brings some of the biggest tricks to the table with the biggest mouth guard smile you will ever see. Mike Spinner follows closely behind with a performance true to his last name and Garrett Reynolds, with his more street-directed style, also stood on top of the game. Props out to Andy Buckworth whom entered the contest as sort of an alternate for injured riders. Funny because now he's in the top five, a potential podium rider. All the other top names are doing they're thing, battling it out in the Southern Cali heat. Stay tuned for day two, more to come... Channels: Bike | ||||||||||||
