Andrew’s riding style combines an arsenal of technical tricks with some massive big-air maneuvers. Andrew is a prodigy of the Shaun Murray school of wakeboarding. On Shaun's advice he entered his first pro competition in 2002, which qualified him for his first X Games (only his 3rd pro competition ever). By the end of that season, Andrew earned the title Rookie of the Year and has since gone on to become a major contender on the pro circuit. He racked up two major wins during the 2004 season at the US Open and the World Championships. Andrew is personable and friendly, but is a fierce, consistent and innovative competitor on the water.
