Day two featured the Jr. Pro Men's division competing in their quarterfinals, while the pros took to the water for their Round of 40, all to advance onto tomorrow's final rounds of action. In the Round of 40, the 24 riders from yesterday's pro qualifiers competed with the top-16 ranked riders on tour in 10 heats of four for a spot in tomorrow's quarterfinals. By the end of the day, the field of riders was cut in half from 40 to 20, as only the top-two riders from each heat advanced. Among the 20 riders advancing from the Round of 40 is two-time world champion Andrew Adkison, who competed today with an injury. Adkison, who won the Acworth Pro Tour stop in 2006, suffered a slight hairline fracture in his left radius two days ago and was originally unsure if he would be able to compete at the event. "The X-ray hadn't come back yet, so I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to compete in Acworth, said Adkison. "Once my doctor cleared me to ride, I knew had to be here to compete." While Adksion said his injury limited his riding today, it didn't stop him from taking first place in heat and earning a spot in tomorrow's quarterfinals. "I had a decent run today, but I had to mellow out at the end of it," Adkison commented on his performance. "I really started feeling the pain on my out of course Heel 7 and after my batwing. We'll just have to see what tomorrow brings." Adkison and the 19 other quarterfinalists will kick off tomorrow's festivities at 12 noon. In the Jr. Pro Men's division, 24 amateur rippers hit the water today for their quarterfinal round of action in Acworth. Only the top two riders from each of the five quarterfinal heats advanced onto tomorrow's semifinals, sending more than half of competition home. Among the 10 riders advancing from today's quarterfinals is birthday boy Freddie Wayne, who celebrated his 16th birthday on Friday, May 20. Wayne entered the quarterfinals as the third seed in his heat, but rode away with a near-perfect score of 98.50 out of a possible 100 points to pace his division. Wayne and the rest of the Jr. Pro Men riders will take to the water for their semifinals tomorrow at 2 p.m., following the pro men. Channels: More Pwieland's Fantasy Wake League Picks!![]() Event 1 of the Pro Wake Tour is only 6 days away so you better get your team's picked now! Last years standings are going to play a large role in my decision for this first event team roster. Im gonna break down my top 5 guys that you are gonna wanna have on your team this year. They might not be the guys who are going to win but they are going to get you a lot points. Harley Clifford- Harley is my number one pick and I think everyone is going to be putting Harley on their team. Harley has already shown this year his level of riding is better then ever winning Wake Games. Harley is for sure going to be in every final this year on tour and your gonna like the amount of points this guy is going to be racking up. Rusty Malinoski- The Bonecrusher is riding better then ever and he is going to be out for blood this season on tour. Rusty not only wants it more then anyone else but he is training harder then anyone else on the water and off the water. Rusty is a another heavy hitter for a large amount to buy him but its better to get him on your team now! Oliver Derome- Oliver is another rider who is going to be in the top 10 at every stop. He recently hurt his foot but I have heard he is back on the water and riding strong. You cant go wrong with Oliver Derome. Andrew Adkison- Andrew had a impressive year last year on tour riding better then ever. I am sure that Andrew's riding will carry over yet again this year on tour. Andrew is gonna be making it in the money rounds at every stop and getting you points! Nick Jones- You can buy Nick Jones right now for 1million and you cant go wrong putting him on your roster while he is so cheap. The thing you gotta remember is the price for these guys is going to change through out the season as they do better or worst. Putting a rider on your team before the first event will lock him in at that low price the entire season as long you keep him on your team. Nick Jones is another rider who might not win but he is going to be into semis or farther at every stop getting you tons of points. No Aaron Rathy? How can this be you ask? Well if you have not heard the news Rathy is currently on the injured list with some knee problems and we will not be seeing him at the 1st stop. Rathy is walking around already after some surgery so he will be back soon but just not in time for the 1st top which is why I left him off for now. Well see before the next stop where Rathy will be at. go pick your team right now! http://www.fantasyactionsportsleague.com/wake Channels: More Wakeboarders head to china.![]() The world Cup Series is taking place in china this weekend and as the weekend draws closer wakeboarders are jumping on planes heading to china. At least 10-20 pro wakeboarders will be attending the world games in china this weekend. With a showing of every country involved in water sports it should be a great weekend to showcase the sport. The long flight to china is not too pleasant for some already I've heard. Facebook is supposably banned from china and most wakeboarders are facebook fanatics. So this week facebook will be short 10-20 people and my updates page will probably be stuck. Among the 10-20 riders going to china is Andrew Adkison, Aaron Rathy, Kyle Rattary, Austin Hair and more. There even some women heading out to represent america. If this weekend is anything like the past America should have no problem bringing home the win. Its no secret that the best wakeboarders come out of America. Having the wakeboarder of the year and phoneme Aaron Rathy riding I am sure hell be a tough contender. Any news and results Ill be to sure to keep you all in the loop.
