She represented Norway in the first-ever Olympic halfpipe contest in 1998, where she finished 16th. Anne is a solid pipe rider who was one of the first women to raise the bar for amplitude in women's snowboarding in 1998. Throughout her career she has been plagued with knee injuries and had surgery on her left knee for the 3rd time in summer '04. Although she tweaked her knee in practice during WX '04, she still made the final finishing 9th in SuperPipe. A strong Norwegian pipe rider, is known for her ability to go huge in every run. She has been making a name for herself in slopestyle as well (4th in Slopestyle at Winter X '03) and is now recognized for her skills on jumps as well as in the pipe. Despite a serious knee injury in 2000, Anne was named Female Rookie of the Year and nominated in the Best Female Halfpipe Rider categories of the 2001 Transworld Riders' Poll Awards, and in the Best Female Snowboarder category of the 2001 ESPN Action Sports and Music Awards.
