Here's Austin Coleman, who took third in this contest but first in best trick and in our hearts, landing a 360 triple downside whip, meaning the whipping tail end of the bike counter spins the actual rider's rotation.

I recommend skipping the intro, but whatever. Besides the generic good riding in this video, I recommend pretty much skipping to the end where Spinner does a 1080 turndown... That's about it.

SA HIGH SCHOOL TOUR KICKS OFF FALL SESSION IN THE ROCKIES ON SEPTEMBER 7

Denver, Colorado is the first stop on the 11-week action sports tour traveling the country in support of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids



LOS ANGELES (September 2, 2010) -- Next Tuesday, September 7, in Denver, Colorado, the fall edition of the 2010 ASA High School Tour (Tour) gets underway, embarking on an 11-week tour across the United States. During on-campus assemblies at 55 schools in 11 cities, the Tour will support the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids with action sports exhibitions by top-ranked skateboarding, BMX and inline skating pros performing daring stunts on a mobile 13' high half-pipe. Attention grabbing performances, entertaining commentary, real-life testimony, trivia contests, brochures, announcements and autograph sessions are all designed to educate students about the dangers of tobacco use, the risks from second-hand smoke and ways to combat the peer pressure to start smoking.

The 2010 Fall Tour will stop in the following key markets across the country from September 7 through November 19, visiting 5 schools in each market, one school per day, to encourage students to live tobacco-free:

The Tour visited nine cities earlier this year during its spring tour when it crossed the country from Feb. 22 through May 21.

On Tuesday, September 7, Chatfield Senior High School in Littleton, CO will receive the Tour; on Wednesday it will visit Columbine High School also in Littleton, CO; on Thursday Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, CO will enjoy a performance; and on Friday the Tour will stop at Arvada Senior High School in Arvada, CO.

Through the support of backers which include the U.S. Marine Corps and action sports event producer ASA Entertainment (ASA), the Tour is offered free of charge to the schools. ASA has produced the Tour for the past 12 years, while the Marine Corps will be enjoying their fifth term with the Tour.

Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment and creator of the ASA High School Tour feels strongly about the Tour and its purpose. "The ASA High School Tour is probably the most rewarding program we produce at ASA Entertainment. The ASA staff, the action sports pros and the sponsors whole-heartedly support the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids' cause and message. After a visit from this year's Spring Tour, Ontario [California] High School teacher Don Schulteis commented, "During the performance I was struck by how attentive our students were. They were really captivated. A math teacher reported to me that she had the best attendance of the year in all five of her classes on the day of the performance because students wanted to be in school that day to see the show. In this era of budget cuts, I want to thank your sponsors for making this program available at no cost to our school. We definitely want to host this program again."

X Games and ASA Action Sports World Tour pros perform at each stop, presenting a unique and rare opportunity for students to interact with the stars in a one-on-one setting. Currently scheduled to perform at the fall stops are top BMX vert pros Jay Eggleston (Denver, CO), Jimmy Walker (Gilberts, IL), John Parker (State College, PA), Austin Coleman (Lake Forest, CA) and Tom Haugen (Minneapolis, MN); BMX flat land stars Trevor Meyer (Little Rock, AR) and Gabe Weed (Walnut Creek, CA); skateboarding pros Jay Stevason (Toronto, CAN) and Anthony Furlong (Tampa, FL); and inline skating World Champion Eito Yasutoko (Kobe, JAPAN). After each show, students are able to get autographs, take pictures and talk to the athletes about staying tobacco-free.

It is safe to say that this will be the biggest ASA BMX Triples event ever and it is so because of a deep list of riders. This event, happening at Northern Illinois University, will host nearly ever top rider in BMX such as Daniel Dhers, Scotty Cranmer, Brett Banana Sandwich, Ryan Guettler, Rob Darden, Ryan Nyquist, Austin Coleman, Craig Mast, Zack Warden, Brandon Dosch, Colton Satterfield, and Koji Kraft. Dude...

Well, when it comes to these big contests I suppose what you want are some predictions and insight into what these riders will produce. SO. Daniel Dhers has been sort of sleeping lately and maybe working on things at Woodward and coming out huge. However, Brett Banana Sandwich (screw his last name) put on a show at Simpel Session that is only a testament to wins in his future. But he can't even drive yet or something. He's in high school. The big guys in this contest have what it takes to intimidate a rookie like Brett. Guettler and Darden and Nyquist can always take events if they really feel like going big.

And the younger dudes from dirt like Dosch and Coleman are solid as well but can they come close to the high-end trickery of Dhers and Brett? I dunno. So first place goes to Daniel Dhers for pulling off some new trick never thought of before or something, second goes to Brett for a myriad of frontflips and flip whips and 720 whips. Third place goes to Scotty Cranmer or Ryan Guettler because they're similarly good and they will be battling for that podium spot.
