In 2001, he was commentating the X games when Bucky Lasek was sitting in the top spot and only Bob could take the lead. Bucky was on fire and holding the title of vert champ for two years. Bob had other ideas, however, doing a run so perfected and new that Tony was screaming into the mic unable to put the sights into words. bob took the lead with a score of 98, the highest score given in X Games Skateboarding history.That's Bob. The guy that leaves you at a loss for words and unable to even put together what you are seeing properly in your mind. With his mega ramp jumps and skateboard loops, base jumping, putting the two together in a stunt that nearly took his life as he completed a grind leading into the grand canyon.Bob started the Bob Burnquist Foundation to promote organic farming/gardening in schools and also co-founded Action Sports Environmental Coalition to bring ecological awareness to the action sports world.There truly is not enough you can say about this guy.
