Chad Kagy was dominating the scene ten years ago and he is still at the top now. Not too many action athletes can say that. After so many injuries and surgeries most people don't keep it at that level for ten years.

Chad has touched every aspect of BMX. Maybe not flatland, but he could do it probably. He was most dominant in dirt, then park, then vert, then BIG AIR. Big air is the X Games way of saying hey that backflip would be cool... if it was done over a 50 foot gap. So Chad Kagy did just that.

He rides for Failure Bikes, a smaller bike company that builds out of the US, and pretty much rides whatever parts he wants on his bike because that is how the vert guys roll. They're not trendy and sponsored like the street cats, they ride what works best.

The injuries: Chad broke his neck in 2003 and came back even harder after that injury. His body is sort of a work of art to doctors, because without their surgeries and synthetics he could not ride at the level he is today.
