As if the roster for the Dew Tour's Skate Open/ISF Skateboarding World Championships wasnt already stacked enough, Eric Koston has been added to the list. With the likes of Chris Cole, Chaz Ortiz, p rod, sheck, lutzka, fabrizio, dyet, busenitz, blah blah blah.. everyone. everyone is going to be there. thats all you have to know. The event goes down July 24-25 at the Garden in Boston. I even heard that Koston is going to attempt to ollie over kevin garnett if he makes the final. And by "heard" i mean "just completely made that up". but if it happens, hey, you heard it here first.

Zoo York's much anticipated new skate flick, State of Mind, premiered the other night in New York City to three packed showings. The sidewalk in front of the theater was lined with members of the local skate scene, visiting West Coasters there for Skate Weekend, and randoms who happened to stumble upon it.

I had arrived in The Big Apple earlier that day, so you know I was going to check it out. There was so many people there, and the theater was huge, so everyone got a chance see the steazy ripping. I actually forgot how good the Zoo team is. East coast legends like Aaron Suski, Zered Basset and Donny Barley, mixed with some newer faces like Brandon Westgate, Chaz Ortiz and Ron Deily, made the video legit. I'd have to say my three favorite sections were Zared, Brandon and Suski. It was also cool to see footage of Chaz not on a contest course. There's a trailer and some photos I took from the night below:

Paul Rodriguez's new movie, PROOF, was just released, and it features Chaz Ortiz's first full-length video part. Chaz has been killing it lately in contests, and now we get see how he handles the streets. The video will also be released on iTunes on June 15th, which will feature exclusive content not on the DVD. He's a little teaser DC just sent over:

DC has welcomed aboard little Dew Tour slayer, Chaz Ortiz. DC by the way has a cool lifestyle shoe line that I checked out at the Agenda show a few weeks ago, they're more for old dudes, like myself. The new Ryan Smith shoe looks pretty rad too, it kind of reminds me of the Half Cab, which is what all the cool kids are wearing these days.
One time in Hawaii I borrowed my friend's DCs, which he had borrowed from Bruce Irons, and while I was wearing them I got with the hottest chick ever. Now, I don't know if it was the shoes, or the fact that she may have sensed Bruce's aura on them, or maybe I was just looking good that day. You know what? It was probably because Bruce's foot is smaller than mine, and I was walking with a limp, that she may have mistaken for a pimp strut.
Well anyway, Chaz rips and his dogs will be wearing DC shoes.
