Description:Chris Cole is a professional skateboarder. Enough said. Well...Chris Cole is happily married and father to Wyatt Cole. Probably his biggest aspect in skating: video parts. He does a lot of contests and photo shoots and has signature products, but his video parts are usually the things people want you to know about Chris. He has been in both EA SKATE video games and is credited with inventing the 360 hardflip. Big time achievement for him would be completing a 360 flip down the deathly big Wallenberg High School stair set. It is known to be six feet high but most notably seventeen feet long as it is four over sized "steps." He did that.He won the eS Game of Skate in 2007. He took gold in X Games street in 2006 and 2007. Transworld AND Thrasher skater of the year in 2005. Took Gravity Games street gold in 2005. Tampa Pro best trick in 2004. He has done a lot with the Zero team and Fallen Footwear.
  • Zero Set To Premier Strange World

Jamie Thomas and the crew over at Black Box announced the premier dates of the new Zero movie Strange World, including the world premier which will be at 7:00 p.m. this Thursday night at the La Polma Theater in Encinitas, CA. If we've learned anything from the past it's that Zero does not disappoint when it comes to videos, which include classics like: Thrill Of It All, Misled Youth and Dying To Live.

The current team roster over at Black Box's original deck company looks pretty stacked. Names like: Thomas, Cervantes, Sandoval, Tancowny, Steamer, Brockman, Rattray, Sauder, Meleshinski, Hill and Gilley garantee the movie is going to be evil. I feel like I'm forgetting someone. Oh yeah, some guy with the last name of Cole. I think he's won a few contests this year.

After the world premier, the next showing will be on Halloween at Reign Skate Shop in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, followed by a showing at Southside Skatepark in Houston, TX on November 7.

To hold you over here's a little footage of Ben Gilley set on destruction courtesy of Zero:

Chris Cole has clinched the overall Dew Tour Skate Park Championship today with his win at the Playstation Pro in Orlando, FL. The Zero rider can now put the Dew Tour Championship oversized check, next to his Maloof Money Cup oversized check. Paul Rodriguez finished second, which boosted him to 3rd in the overall Dew Tour standings. Youngster, Chaz Ortiz, finished 5th, and in the process the fifteen-year-old was able to hang on to 2nd place overall.

It has been an amazing year for Cole, and skateboarding, he has proven on this sunny day in Orlando that it is possible to be a respected core skateboarder, and a Dew Tour champion. Below is a little video recap and full results of the Playstation Pro and Overall Championship.

  • Will Cole Keep To His Winning Ways At X Games 15

Chris Cole has been on a mission this year. He won 100K at Maloof, had a rad part in Fallen's "Ride The Sky," massacred Wallenburg, won it for the Regulars at Goofy vs. Regular, won the "Reader's Choice" at the Transworld Skateboarding awards, and just finished 3rd at the Boston stop of the Dew Tour.

Now, with X Games 15 right around the corner, that brings us to our question. Will Chis Cole take X Games Street gold? He certainly has the ability. Cole has the rare combination of gnar and tech. He's got you on flatground, he's got you on rails and ledges, he's got you in transition and he's got you when it comes to throwing himself down big things. That's what you call the whole package when it comes to street skating. Oh yeah, and style, he may not have you there.

The usual suspects will be trying to prevent Cole from continuing his story-book year. Names like: Ortiz, P-Rod, Lutzka and some guy name Sheckster, Sheckler...Something like that. Anyway, back to Cole. Has all this winning gone to his head? Not at all. He was humble as could be with a $100,000 check in his hand from two days of skating at Maloof. If he wins a gold in the X Games, I'm sure he'll say something like, "Yeah, it was fun, I just like skateboarding."

Check out the videos below of Cole killing the Back Box skate facility, and his highlights from Maloof.

  • Koston in Boston

As if the roster for the Dew Tour's Skate Open/ISF Skateboarding World Championships wasnt already stacked enough, Eric Koston has been added to the list. With the likes of Chris Cole, Chaz Ortiz, p rod, sheck, lutzka, fabrizio, dyet, busenitz, blah blah blah.. everyone. everyone is going to be there. thats all you have to know. The event goes down July 24-25 at the Garden in Boston. I even heard that Koston is going to attempt to ollie over kevin garnett if he makes the final. And by "heard" i mean "just completely made that up". but if it happens, hey, you heard it here first.

  • Battle At The Berrics 2

The first two battles, of the second installment, of The Battle At The Berrics, just went down this past weekend. The matchups both featured a veteran, who can really remember the old days, vs a new generation, switchfoot master, who's old days are now.

In the first matchup the rules were bent for Mike Vallely, who needs to be able to do no-complys and handplants, lets face it, if it wasn't for those moves he wouldn't have a career. So, to make it a little more fair Chris Cole agreed to a rule change, and The Battle At The Berrics went back to the 80s. Plus, it was funny to watch Cole learn the moves of the Reagan years, on the spot.

Vallely was almost a dick, and about to give Chris Cole the boot when he blew a ho-ho, a move he can do in his sleep. Cole stepped up and showed grandpa what you can do when you start your trick with an ollie, and moved on to the next round.

In the second battle Jamie Thomas, one of my favorite skaters ever, took on Dennis Busenitz, also one of my favorite skaters, I just love how fast he skates. From the start, it was obvious it was going to be an up hill battle for The Chief. Jamie's more newschool than Mike V, but Dennis is in his prime and films sections, while Jamie reviews invoices at Black Box (the distribution company he owns). Needless to say Dennis skated a shutout.
