His story has served as an inpiration to many and is told in his book "To The Edge and Back: My Story from Organ Transplant Survivor to Olympic Snowboarder," released in November 2004. He won his 6th National PGS title in March '04. At his first Winter X, one of the few SBX events he'd ever done, he DQ'ed twice in bracketed competition (once in SBX and once in UltraCross), but is hoping to learn from his mistakes for better results WX '05. Aspen local Chris Klug is new to the boardercross circuit, but a powerful rider with a deep race background. He has been snowboarding for over 20 years, but became famous when he won a bronze medal at the Olympics in 2002 in parallel giant slalom, one and half years after receiving a liver transplant.
