Cory was born on Gulf Coast of Florida and I can guarantee he surf better than you. He and his brother Shea's home break would be flat for months, so they would have drive across the entire state of Florida to get waves. The brothers Lopez would soon become two of the best surfers ever produced by the "Sunshine State."

Bursting onto the scene in the old Lost videos, a drunk Lopez would talk shit about his brother, his sponsors and anyone else who was around. He partied hard at the old Lost house in San Clemente, with likes of Chris Ward and the rest of the dysfunctional family. He got it out of his system and soon qualified for the ASP WCT tour, which his brother was already on, and has remained for the past eleven years.

Cory is a very progressive surfer, mixing airs and tailslides with very fast, precise snaps and turns. He is very limber and is often photographed doing some of the most ridiculous, back and knee shattering, layback tailslides. Cory also charges pipe, making the finals of the 06' Rip Curl Pipeline Masters.
