My SportsSkiing | NewsThursday, February 25, 2010 9:28am Skiers life tragically cut short Wednesday, February 24, 2010 5:26pm AboutAfter crashing hard in the SuperPipe at WX '04, C.R. Johnson took some time off to nurse a sore back. C.R. returns to WX '05 (his sixth WX Games) where he will compete in Slopestyle and SuperPipe. Look out for C.R. on the Slopestyle course though where he is likely to go for the "awe" factor by throwing some big stylie bios at the end of his run. C.R. Johnson first wowed crowds with his bio 1260 at the 2002 U.S. Freeskiing Open big air. Even with gnarly crashes in the pipe at Winter X and XGGC in '03, he still managed 4th at WX and 3rd at XGGC. One of the best all around skiers of his generation, he has two WX medals-a bronze in Big Air ('01) and a silver in Slopestyle ('02). C.R. consistently posts solid film segments with Matchstick and Poor Boyz Productions. The 2001 WX Big Air bronze medalist also won the 2001 Core Games quarterpipe and was awarded Trick of the Year at Powder Magazine's Superpark. My BrandsMy Videos |
