JP: What's the funniest nickname you've ever heard someone call you?
DH: my friend shiloh calls me dolphin skin dan.

JP: What (board) did you ride your very first time in the water?
DH: my first board was a neon green boogie board that i would catch close outs on at ob pier all day.

JP: What are you riding now?
DH: a plus one surfbard 6'1 round tail. thanks George and Joe.

JP: If you couldn't be a surfer, what would you want to be?
DH: a NHRA drag racer.

JP: Would you rather have a maid or a personal chef?
DH: neither.

JP: How many hours a week do you train/work out?
DH: i watch about 32 hours of online surf contests a week so thats my training.

JP: What's your all-time favorite candy?
DH: twix

JP: Describe your ideal surfing spot?
DH: its a secret right slab in my home town. you catch a whitewash off the take off then it hits a ledge and goes square. you can get a sick right tube and then do a couple turns. probably one of the best waves ive ever surfed.

JP: If you could "beam" yourself & 5 friends anywhere in the world right this minute, what destination would you pick?
DH: the right slab in my hometown in the summer so i could trunk it. but only with 3 friends and hopefully its breaking because the wave is super fickle.

JP: Do you have an "inny" or an "outty?"
DH: what the hell, who cares.

JP: What's your "hands down favorite" Jet Pilot product?
DH: the flexft hats!!! my dad likes them too.

JP: What's your new favorite word or saying (right now)?
DH: brah

JP: What's your "lucky charm" or lucky ritual you do before you compete?
DH: i wax my board.

JP: How many house plants did you kill in the past year?
DH: i killed one christmas tree. it was one of those little ones in the plastic pot i think i watered it to much.

JP: Name one of your heroes:
DH: John Muir

JP: Who are your sponsors:

OTHER STUFF:
Dan is one of those "busy guy" types... ya know, the guy that ALWAYS has something going on and always has to be here or there for this and that... ya, Dan House. The only major difference between him and your "busy guy" buddy is that Dan surfs WAY more than that guy (somehow) and he surfs better... mmhhmm, "better".

Maybe being super busy makes you also love surfing more? I think that may be the case for Dan. He loves surfing, so he surfs a lot, enough to make you feel like a lazy ass that just wants to go to Krispy Kremes for lunch... I'm done.
