Dane Gudauskas being a led-foot goofy footer loves to tee off on his backhand with vertical lip bashes that throw chunks of spray everywhere. He won the 2004 NSSA men's National Championship with such an approach that left his competitors crying and surfing for second place. His surfing is getting sharper and his experience is growing because of his travels and his WQS efforts.

He has been spotted as far away as the Mentawias and as close as T-Street surfing his heart out. He spent a couple months on the North Shore these last couple of winters and surfed Pipe whenever the opportunity arose. He charged some bombs and shows he has some sack in that department.

His is hitting the WQS trail hard for 2007 with brothers Pat and Tanner and is looking at getting 8 good results and see where they play out. He rounded out his first year at #130 on the 2006 World Qualifying series and will undoubtley cut off a digit and get closer for his ultimate goal of qualifying for the WCT in the coming years. Along with this he will also be looking at going on photo trips and shooting video clips for upcoming O'Neill video.
