At 30, Darin is the oldest competitor in the wakeboard field and also the most prolific. He has six Pro Tour titles under his belt ('92-'95, '97, '00), the most of any WKB athlete. 2003 was the first year he walked away from XG without a gold or silver medal in all seven years he's competed in X Games. The inventor of the Speedball, he is competing on the pro circuit for the 14th time in 2004.

The most seasoned rider on the tour, Darin has been involved in the competitive end of the sport since the beginning, 1991 and won every title possible in wakeboarding. His new trick is the Heel-side 7 off the wake. His signature Speedball is not being done by anyone else due to the danger factor. "My level of riding continues to get better and I work at it quite a bit." The Skud has medaled in all four X Games he has competed in. He returns in 2001 to defend his gold.
