| AboutBIOGRAPHY David DiGravio is a believer in the old saying, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight; it's the size of the fight in the dog." At 5-6, he isn't the biggest guy on the hill, but his inner fire - fueled from the time his older brother was out-skiing him - keeps spurring him to do better. He nailed a podium in his first season of World Cup skiing, and coaches say there's plenty more to come. UPDATE DiGravio rebounded from a dismal showing (52nd) in wretched conditions at the first World Cup contest last winter to three top-10s and a trip to his first World Championships. It was his first full season on the World Cup tour and he was absorbing valuable experience at each stop. "I think the fact he's had a year of seasoning will be huge for him,” said Moguls Head Coach Scott Rawles. "He trained well all year, had great stuff in practice but then struggled at Go! time. I expect him to bounce back this winter.” FIRST TRACKS The DiGravios skied at Sugarloaf when he was tyke, and eventually moved from outside Boston to Farmington, less than an hour away. He entered CVA in the eighth grade. "We went from skiing weekends at Sugarloaf to making the fulltime commitment. Ever since I started, I've wanted to ski on the World Cup and go against the best guys in the world," he said. "To do that, you've got to practice every day, and CVA helped me do that. I didn't want to be just a weekend warrior." His multiple ski skills became especially apparent at the 2004 Junior Olympics at Idaho's Silver Mountain when he won the dual moguls title, took bronze in halfpipe (he was silver medalist in '02) and was fourth in moguls; in '05, DiGravio took silver in moguls, bronze in duals.
