Shoe sponsors are a big deal in any sport, and for some action sports riders it is a significant chunk of money. We are seeing BMX programs get dropped left and right in shoe companies and more, and other BMX programs get completely dumped to be "reorganized." They probably want an out with the old in with the new situation. Regardless, it is sad to see the economy cut out the weak as BMX programs do not hold nearly as much significance as skate teams, or surf..
