n 2005, Derek, who is sponsored by Elk City Honda, made all of the IFMA main events and placed in the top seven at each one. He also traveled to Thailand to participate in the Asian X Cup. Unfortunately, his lowlight in 2005 was under-rotating a backflip and tearing up his shoulder, thus missing the Dew Action Sports Tour and several other major summer events.
