In 2008, Drew Courtney fulfilled his destiny, qualifying for the ASP World Tour. Courtney will be 30 when he makes his Dream Tour debut at Snapper in February and has been battling it out on the ASP WQS for nearly a decade. In his time 'doing the grind' on the 'QS, Drew has had many near World Tour qualifications and it comes as no surprise that his grit and determination has finally paid off.

Although he will be one of the oldest rookie qualifiers on tour, don't expect any less from this experienced Aussie ripper. Water time logged counts for a lot in surfing and ten years of grueling WQS heats are sure to help Drew take down some big names in his rookie year.

With a powerful, fast style that could be mistaken for that of Mick or Taj, Drew has definitely got the goods to take on the world's best. Stay tuned as he makes up for lost time in 2009.
