The lovely ladies at Roxy are getting psyched for the season to come and have recently released a new series of videos called "Refreshments". To amp up the stoke, they'll be dropping a new teaser every other Tuesday that's packed with all the tasty highlights from last season. This first video dropped today and it's mighty refreshing.

Southern California has always been pegged as a mecca for the ladies; really good looking ladies, ladies that think they're really good looking, fake as monopoly money ladies, sun kissed ladies, gold digging ladies, scantily clad ladies, care-free ocean loving ladies...it's pretty much endless.

However, these past couple weeks, so cal has been swarming with ladies who genuinely love the mountains, run goggle tans, kill it at snowboarding, and could straight up drop one of those other ladies on their ass. While the Roxy Chicken Jam concluded at Mammoth Mountain, Snowboarder Mag's Ms. Superpark 6 got underway at Snow Summit March 30th and will last for four debaucherous days.

This event is known for progressive features and creative, fearless riding by some of the most bad ass females in the business and by bad ass I mean: Hana Beaman, Bryn Valaika, Anne Flore Marxer, Janna Meyen Weatherby, Jenny Jones, Desiree Melancon, Raewyn Reid, Leanne Pelosi and Natazka Zurek. The park crew from Bear Mountain shwooped over to make sure the park was nothing less than gnarly for the girls to throw down on.

Basically these ladies are getting straight bat crazy at Snow Summit. Snowboarder Mag gives the full run down on what Day 1 had in store for them, they even made a little video recap.

"Laid out for the ladies are two pristine hips, a generous sized channel gap, a step down and a downrail. Wasting no time, women hit the gas on the hip with little conscious thought about how far into the flats they were about to go. Blasting large and bruising parts was commonplace for a contingent of the crew, yet no one needed ski patrol to carry their carcass at the end of the day. Prevailing during the first hip session was Bryn Valaika and her unquestionably proper method's, Jess Kimura's tuck knee's and other fetching maneuvers by Laura Hadar, Hana Beaman, Anne Flore Marxer and Nirvana Ortanez. Also impressive was Desiree, who with wind in her absent locks continued to bring a bald beat-down to the hip for hours.

With the women getting comfortable, look for babes to push past their boundaries as the week goes on. We can't guarantee what kind of action lay ahead, but considering Jess Kimura pulled off some oversized alley-oop front 3's on the hip while in more physical pain than even imaginable, the future looks promising. Well, well, well....look at what the ladies put together this year. Today, October 1st, the all chick snowboard film, "Stance", was released. And by released, I mean, FREE DOWNLOAD! For you! Jeremy Miller and Stan Evans were the minds behind this and ultimately wanted to "create the most innovative female snowboarding film to date...start a large initiative to push snowboarding's creative and cinematic boundaries" (www.stancemovie.com).

Let me first start by just listing off the amazing talent in this video: Gretchen Bleiler, Kimmy Fasani, Raewyn Reid, Hana Beaman, Molly Aguirre, Laura Hadar, Jamie Anderson, Gabi Viteri, Lisa Filzmoser, Erin Comstock, Jenny Jones, and Torah Bright.

With all these babes teamed up with their best footage, you're not going to be disappointed. There are epic shots of not only their riding but of the scenery and locations that they traveled to. I also was super hyped to see some of the girls out of their comfort zones. (For instance, getting out of that half pipe and switching it up with some powder and natural jibs.)

It opens up with Gretchen's part and well; if her aim was to show her ability to ride backcountry...good job Gretch, mission accomplished. I'm sure there is more where that came from. Raewyn Reid. Um, seriously? That girl shreds like her life depends on it and her part proves it, she hits everything. All these ladies showed up with their game faces on and were obviously stoked which in turn, got me stoked. Also appreciated the couple random shots of these girls with their huge lifted trucks; don't think they are trying to make up for anything.

Long story short: Love the music, the balls out riding, the creativity, the cast, the bails, and the variety. That's my stance...what's yours?

FIFTH ANNUAL ROXY CHICKEN JAM RETURNS TO MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN BIGGER THAN EVER

Free Live Music Featuring Santigold and Cold War Kids; All-Women's Professional Snowboard Competition Featuring Top Rider Torah Bright and Crowning of the TTR Women's World Champion

The Fifth Annual Roxy Chicken Jam, presented by ROCKSTAR Energy Drink, returns to Mammoth Mountain March 27-29, 2009 for a weekend of competition and fun. As the final stop of the Women's TTR World Tour, the Roxy Chicken Jam will crown the 2008/2009 Women's TTR World Champion. The all-women snowboard event will bring together the top pro women snowboarders from around the world to compete in slopestyle and superpipe events for a combined purse prize worth $50,000. In addition to awarding titles for each division, the unique event will feature a festival atmosphere with live performances by Santigold and Cold War Kids, a mascot competition, games and goodies for all to enjoy.

"We are excited to be returning to Mammoth Mountain for the Fifth Annual Roxy Chicken Jam," said Randy Hild, Executive Vice President, Roxy Global Marketing. "With a stellar lineup of competitors and musicians, the return of the Roxy Chicken mascot competition and the weekend long festival, it's sure to be an epic event that will not soon be forgotten."

As a six-star Women's TTR event, the contest is one of the most prestigious all-women's snowboard events in the world, and has a crucial influence on the outcome of the Women's TTR rankings. The best female snowboarders from around the world flock to the Roxy Chicken Jam each year, including top Roxy riders Torah Bright (2007 Women's TTR World Champion and 2009 X Games gold medalist) Kjersti Buaas (2006 Olympic bronze medalist) as well as top pros Gretchen Bleiler, Kelly Clark, Erin Comstock, Hannah Teter and Alexis Waite.

Continuing the popular tradition of previous years, the event will kick off with the open-entry qualifying rounds. The top five finishers in each division, slopestyle and superpipe, will be entered into the main event to compete alongside the pros for a spot in the final round and a chance at the crown.

In addition to the competition, the Roxy Chicken Jam will include a winter wonderland festival, featuring a free concert with music guests Santigold and Cold War Kids on Sat. March 28, 2009 at 7p.m. Additional activities over the course of the weekend include the ever-comedic Mascot Superpipe Competition, hair by Paul Mitchell, touch ups by Covergirl, Roxy demo boards and skis, and other giveaways and goodies.
