Description:Sponsors: Vans, Roxy, Rockstar, Active, Park City MountainGrowing up, Erin Comstock's backyard was beautiful Lake Tahoe. With a variety of slops and ski resorts at Erin's disposal, winter sports became second nature to her. She began skiing by age two and racing by age four. At age twelve Erin became obsessed with snowboarding. In order to keep her focused at school, Erin's parents rewarded good grades with the number of days she could spend snowboarding a week. Being the good student that she was, her straight A's racked up six days a week of snowboarding!Erin has always been a great athlete and student. She played soccer at San Jose State before transferring to the University of Utah where she finish up her degree in Communications. The transfer to Salt Lake City helped Erin reconnect with snowboarding. After graduating in 2004, Erin stayed in Salt Lake City and went on a religious mission for her church. Since then she has been traveling from her home base to snowboard around the world.Erin's snowboarding career really picked up from her little grom days in Lake Tahoe. In 2002, she gained a spot on the Roxy snow team and has consistently been a presence in various snowboarding magazines. Erin placed second in the rail competition at the 2004 U.S. Open and took first prize at the 2004 Red Bull Heavy Metal Rail Jam. The 2006/2007 season was one of Erin's most successful. She was filmed for two snowboarding flicks: Runway Film's "La La Land" and Roxy’s first-ever all-women's ski and snowboard team film "Labor of Love." Erin has also been featured in the Vans movie, "A Lucid Dream," the Park City movie "City. Park City," and Misschief Films "Ro Sham Bo."Her editorial presence in the core magazines has been impressive. She was featured on the cover of the 2004 Buyer’s Guide for Snowboarder Magazine and the cover of the Finish snowboard magazine, Slammer.During the 2007 summer, Erin went to the High Cascade summer snowboard camp in Mt. Hood, OR to coach her Signature Session. While she was there, she took home the gold medal at the fourth annual Burton Abominable Snow Jam. None of this has come easily for Erin, there were a lot of bumps and bruises, and not to mention stitches, along the way, but it is all well worth it. It is amazing for Erin to live off her passion. She loves traveling to different countries, seeing fantastic landscapes and learning about new cultures.
