Evan Thompson knows how to put himself in the spotlight. In March of 2006, the 13-year-old won the Billabong Surf Rat series 13-and-Under division, while his brother, Tristan, was not too far behind, finishing a close second. Not to mention, this USA team member also took home the Rip Curl GromSearch at New Smyrna Inlet in August, and this past September won the Open Juniors and Explorer Boys divisions in the first NSSA Southeast/North event of the year. When it comes to making heats, Thompson's already showing his has the savvy to go far.
