Hailing from the seven-mile miracle of the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, Fredrick Patacchia has emerged as a leading threat amongst the Hawaiian contingent on the ASP World Tour. 2009 marked Freddy P's fifth years amongst the elite and the goofy-footed talent found himself rated 15th in the world. Born and raised in some of the world's heaviest surf, Patacchia is a serious threat in the thumping barrels on tour and is no slouch when it comes down to high performance surfing.

Although Patacchia may seem mellow out of the water, the quick foofy-footer has proven that he has the ability to demolish the world's finest competitors once he's in a heat. With the ASP Rookie of the Year award (2005) under his belt alongside two runner-up finishes at the Billabong Pro Tahiti and the Rip Curl Search somewhere in Indonesia, Patacchia has proven that he has what it takes to find his way on to the podium, so look for the Hawaiian to capitalize on the experience gained over the last five years to clinch his maiden ASP World Tour event victory in 2010.
