He had one particularly bad day in 1999: He suffered a crash in a desert race and had to be airlifted out, but the helicopter crashed on the way to the hospital.

A last minute replacement to the '04 XG SuperMoto field, he's a late addition for 2005 as well. Gary made every final (except for his 3 DNFs) in the 2004 AMA Supermoto series and finished the season ranked 14th.
