"Like so many of our other riders, his accomplishments in skimboarding are up there with the very best of them. He's won contest, had some of the craziest video parts, and certainly gotten crushed on more than a few close-outs most people wouldn't even dare to look at. Grady Archbold is our constantly evolving enigma. One day to the next you never know exactly what you are going to get. You could see him every day at the beaches of South Laguna where he grew up, or not at all for extended periods of time. That's just Grady.

Even still, Grady has more talent in his pinky toes than most people do in their whole body. You can see it in his skimboarding. You can see it in his dancing and artistic expression. His talents are never more apparent than when he comes speeding out of a barrel or hucking a huge 360 air after not being in the water for months at a time, and looking like he did it the day before. His affinity for gigantic close-out barrels and fearlessness must only exist in Archbold family genes. He is not afraid to charge hard in everything he does, which among the countless other reasons, is why we are so proud to have him on the team."
